Why Support Theatre?
Theatre holds a unique and vital role in fostering a better society by serving as a powerful medium for storytelling, empathy, and community engagement. It brings people together, offering a shared experience that transcends individual differences and fosters a sense of collective understanding. Through the portrayal of diverse characters and complex narratives, theatre encourages audiences to step into others' shoes, cultivating empathy and compassion. It also acts as a mirror to society, reflecting its virtues and vices, and provoking critical thought and dialogue about social issues. Furthermore, theatre supports cultural expression and preservation, allowing communities to celebrate their heritage and explore new perspectives. By inspiring creativity, encouraging dialogue, and promoting empathy, theatre contributes to a more inclusive, thoughtful, and connected society.
“That’s what our work can do; we remind people that things can change, that wounds can heal, that people can be forgiven, and that closed hearts can open again.”
Larry Moss- Legendary Acting Coach
“Life beats down and crushes the soul; art reminds us that we have one.”
Stella Adler - Actor- Method Technique coach, 'Mother of modern Acting'.
"I think the theatre is as essential to civilization as safe, pure water."
